"The beautiful is in nature, and it is encountered under the most diverse forms of reality. Once it is found it belongs to art, or rather to the artist who discovers it."

- Gustave Courbet

The Cross in the Woods

This summer there will be an unveiling of Mic's bronze exhibition of St. Francis of Assisi. The exhibition is at the Cross in the Woods, a National Shrine in Indian River, Michigan.

These bronze statues were recently exhibited at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy. Mic was the first American artist to be invited to exhibit in this monumental historical place.

The exhibition was visited by over 1000 people a day from September 18th trough October 16th, 2004, and coincided with the feast of Francis on October 4th. Click on learn more and see the virtual tour of the upcoming installation at the Cross in the Woods.
